Patients can also walk in at any time without an appointment and we will do our best to fit you in at the earliest possible appointment.
Please let our receptionist know if you:
have an urgent condition. We will do our best to get you seen by a doctor as soon as possible.
think you may need longer than a normal appointment time to discuss your concerns (15 minutes or more).
or your family members are concerned you may have an infectious illness; we may need to take some extra precautions to ensure we limit the risk of contamination to others).
Waiting Times We will make every effort to see you on time, but please be aware that emergencies can happen and these will take priority. We appreciate your patience when this does happen and our reception staff will do their best to keep you updated on appointment times.
Continuity of Care Continuity of Care has many researched advantages for patients and as such we highly recommend that if you have found a Doctor you feel meets your needs, that you aim to see that Doctor for your general healthcare needs. It allows not only a relationship to be built it also means better patient care and outcomes.
If you have been to other practices in the past, and would like to transfer your regular care to Trinity GPs, we can easily obtain your personal health records to ensure we have your medical history. This way we can give you the best medical care possible.
Prescription Requests To make sure you are getting the most up-to-date medications and advice, we ask you please make an appointment to have your scripts completed by your Doctor.
Following up Results There are occasions when your Doctor may need to arrange for your results to be advised to you over the phone. When this happens your Doctor will need to be the person discussing these results with you as our Reception staff are not medically trained and can not give out this information. If you could please refrain from asking them for results we would appreciate it.
Contacting your Doctor Most queries for your Doctor are best discussed in a consultation. It also limits the interruption to other patients consultations if calls are coming in regularly to the Doctors for follow up.
So if you have a question, or need some medical advice, best you make an appointment unless your Doctor as specifically asked for you to call them.
Preventative Healthcare Reminder System We believe that prevention is better than cure, and we offer a preventative healthcare reminder service that, based on your healthcare requirements sends you appropriate services information. If you do not wish to be part of this system, please tell your Doctor or the receptionists.
